Diarios del odio is the outcome of a research project that began in 2008, transforming anonymous comments published in Argentina’s major online newspapers into poetic material. Drawing from voices steeped in racism, misogyny, class hatred, and political violence, the project builds an archive that exposes the construction of the other as social waste. The aesthetic operation lies in transposing the language of hate into the form of the poem, revealing how discourses of dehumanization —metaphors of cancer, garbage, plague, excrement— anticipate the possibility of extermination.
Far from being a mere documentary record, the book unsettles the boundaries between literature, politics, and art, confronting the reader with their own complicity in a language that pulses at the margins of the public sphere. In this ambiguity —between the sewer and poetry, between media repetition and lyrical cadence— Diarios del odio discloses how fear and insecurity operate as engines of a culture of hatred in contemporary Argentina
