A hacker intervenes in a system to alter its functioning; an artisan tends to detail, patience, and the hand. I combine both operations: I enter a consolidated visual language—a magrittean surrealism, a nod to Argentine painting of the ’90s, a modernist scene—and reprogram it from within, through a minimal but irreversible alteration.

The key is that the original structure remains recognizable. The clean horizon, the perfect cloud, the glass dome, the pedestal… all still there. But a foreign detail, chosen with surgical precision, infiltrates its code: Gokū’s tail and Master Roshi’s symbol cross a scene of metaphysical calm; a choripán is presented as a relic under glass.

These elements don’t arrive shouting “look at me!” like a loud collage. They are calculated infiltrations: for those who don’t recognize the reference, the image works as a unified painting. For those who do, its meaning expands toward another cultural geography—anime, Rioplatense popular culture, television nostalgia, street food—and forces a rereading of the entire work.

In the first painting, the world of Dragon Ball is reduced to two signs and transported into an alien aesthetic. Anime becomes metaphysical; surrealism is contaminated by pop epic. In the second, the choripán—culinary and social icon—is isolated as a museum specimen, erasing its smell, its smoke, and its context, until it becomes a cold, almost sacred object.

This method could be applied to other systems: a Hopper interrupted by a takeout bag; a De Chirico inhabited by a cheap toy; a Morandi in which one of his bottles is a soda can. What interests me is the internal mutation: how a minimal displacement changes the identity of the referenced work without destroying its formal unity.

Artisanal Hacker is neither appropriation nor homage. It is visual surgery: a displacement that lays bare the conflict between two worlds coexisting on the same surface. A manual hack that turns one aesthetic into another, revealing that sometimes a single detail is enough to change everything.
