JENNIFER
Jennifer Magazine
Founded in 2016 by Syd Krochmalny, Jennifer emerged as one of the boldest and most irreverent platforms for art and contemporary criticism in Argentina. Hybrid and expansive in scope, the magazine moved fluidly between essay, literature, and aesthetic activism, reinventing the cultural magazine format as a space for dialogue between counterculture, philosophical reflection, and political thought. Far from following traditional models, it established itself as a collective device for critical creation, bringing together established intellectuals, avant-garde artists, and restless new generations.
Its pages featured internationally recognized figures such as Claudio Iglesias, Horacio González, Graciela Speranza, Roberto Jacoby, Arturo Carrera, Marcia Schvartz, Boom Boom Kid, Tamara Tenenbaum, Jerry Saltz, Jordan B. Peterson, Isabelle Graw, Etel Adnan, Mierle Laderman Ukeles, Thomas Ligotti, Nick Land, Nina Power, Christina Hoff Sommers, and Mario Scorzelli, alongside a vibrant group of Argentine authors who shaped the vitality of the project: Agustina Paz Frontera, Agustina Vizcarra, Ailín Macía, Alan Martín Segal, Alberto Goldenstein, Alexandra Goldman, Alfredo Jaramillo, Andrés Aizicovich, Amalia Amoedo, Camila Fabbri, Carla Barbero, Carlos Gradin, Carolina Martínez Pedemonte, Catalina Aldama, Catalina Arzani, Martín Legón, and many others.
In this way, Jennifer opened a territory of exchange where cultural criticism expanded into literature, music, philosophy, and politics, fostering unexpected encounters and building a living archive of the contemporary scene.
