Syd Krochmalny joins SFSIA 2025 in Paris as Resident Faculty & Global South Liaison

 Syd Krochmalny will join the Saas-Fee Summer Institute of Art (SFSIA) 2025 in Paris, held September 1–6 at Centre des Récollets and the Master in Arts & Vision (MAVI), Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.


Celebrating its 10th anniversary, SFSIA 2025 — From Dry to Wet Conceptualism in Cognitive Capitalism — explores alternative historical frameworks of Conceptual art and reimagines its relevance in today’s digital information age. Introducing the novel category of “Wet Conceptualism”, the seminar engages practices that are emotional, performative, planetary, feminist, afro-futurist, and posthuman.


As Resident Faculty & Global South Liaison, Krochmalny will participate alongside an exceptional international faculty, including: Saâdane Afif, Julieta Aranda, Nicolas Bourriaud, Gaëlle Choisne, Mathieu Copeland, Mareike Dittmer, Bracha L. Ettinger, Claire Fontaine, Sozita Goudouna, Jörg Heiser, Helen Hester, Ingrid Luquet-Gad, Warren Neidich, Kameelah Janan Rasheed, Gregory Sholette, Yann Toma, and Sarah Wilson.
