In times when debates surrounding bodies and sexuality are at the forefront of public discourse, the exhibition.S.L.U.T.S.: Sovereign Lust Undoing Total Shame presents a critical and celebratory reflection on desire and sexuality, reclaiming a term historically used to stigmatize those who transgress sexual and gender norms.

Partially inspired by the radical critique of Valerie Solanas’ SCUM Manifesto, yet distinctively emphasizing resistance through pleasure, celebration, and conscious vulnerability, S.L.U.T.S. creates a space for exploration and dialogue where diverse voices and experiences converge within a plural and collective environment— transforming shame into an opportunity for empowerment and aesthetic resistance.

The exhibition features works by six artists who approach the body from perspectives ranging from private intimacy to public performance. Each piece questions traditional boundaries of gender, identity, and representation, proposing vulnerability as a conscious and political form of resistance.

Participating Artists:

Anna Sofie Jespersen

Her work explores deep emotional states, challenging traditional boundaries between femininity and eroticism through introspective paintings.

Brenda Sabbagh

Through delicate painterly gestures, she portrays the body as a state of constant transformation, resisting fixed categorizations.

DETEXT

This artistic collective transforms digital masculine confessions into textile pieces, delicately addressing the hidden fragility beneath dominant notions of masculinity.

Katinka Huang

Presents an intensely ironic and emotionally charged reinterpretation of femininity, critically questioning established social expectations.

Syd Krochmalny

Provocatively inverts traditional perspectives by positioning the male body as an object of collective desire and scrutiny. His explicit portrayal of vulnerability challenges hegemonic masculinity, critically interrogating gender roles, power dynamics, and the visual culture of desire.

Yuli Aloni

Her hybrid sculptures combine organic and technological materials, exploring how feminine identity is constructed and sustained in digital and contemporary contexts.

S.L.U.T.S.: Sovereign Lust Undoing Total Shame promotes reflection on structures that constrain and control sexuality and the body, advocating that autonomy and pleasure should originate from the acceptance and celebration of all identities and expressions.
